The honorable Mayor of Ubuhlebezwe Municipality Cllr EB Ngubo was touched by the story of Sinenhlanhla Vezi from Springvale, Ixopo KwaZulu Natal, a young girl who grew up with a difficult health condition. From birth, she has been living with Chronic Lung Disease which made it difficult for her to breathe. She has since been on oxygen to help her with breathing. The challenge she faced is that the oxygen use electricity and during power outages the oxygen stop then her grandmother is forced to rush her to the hospital. SANTACO under Harry Gwala bought the rechargeable mobile oxygen that uses batteries to assist her in this condition. The new mobile oxygen afforded Sinenhlanhla the freedom to move around the house.

Ubuhlebezwe Municipality Mayor Cllr EB Ngubo accompanied by EXCO Member Cllr CN Ntabeni paid a visit to the Vezi family to check on Sinenhlanhla and her condition. Upon their arrival, they were welcomed by Sinenhlanhla’s grandmother who informed them that Sinenhlanhla is at the hospital for routine checkups.
