Mr. P.M. Gwala
Mr. P.M. Gwala serves as the Director of the Infrastructure & Planning Division (IPD) at Ubuhlebezwe Local Municipality, where he plays a pivotal role in driving the municipality’s development and infrastructure agenda. With a wealth of experience in civil engineering, urban planning, and project management, Mr. Gwala brings a strategic and innovative approach to the planning and implementation of critical infrastructure projects.
Mr. Gwala is known for his commitment to excellence, collaborative leadership style, and ability to manage complex projects with precision and efficiency. He works closely with stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector partners, and community members, to ensure that infrastructure development is inclusive, equitable, and responsive to the evolving needs of the municipality.
Support services that include
Planning, construction, and maintenance of road networks, bridges, and public transport systems to ensure safe and efficient mobility for residents and businesses. This includes pothole repairs, road upgrades, and traffic management systems.
Development and maintenance of water supply systems, wastewater treatment plants, and sanitation infrastructure to ensure access to clean water and proper waste disposal for all communities.
Strategic land-use planning, zoning, and development control to guide sustainable growth, manage urbanization, and ensure orderly development within the municipality.
Construction, maintenance, and upgrading of public facilities such as community halls, libraries, clinics, and government offices to support community needs and service delivery.
Design and maintenance of stormwater management systems to prevent flooding, protect infrastructure, and ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
Coordination with relevant entities to support the provision of reliable electricity supply, including street lighting and renewable energy initiatives where applicable.
